Super Slam Wisconsin

One weekend after capturing the PBA Jr World Championship at the World Series of Bowling in Allen Park, Arryn was back on the road for the Storm Youth Championships Super Slam Wisconsin. The Super Slam format ran the field across four Kegel sport patterns, short to long, with five games on each before a final standing was set across twenty total games.

Arryn finished 2nd of 40 in the U15 Boys division at +341, a 217 average, and was the only bowler in the division besides the champion to clear 4,300. The runner-up result earned him a spot on the 2026 Storm All-American Team, the stated goal he carried into the weekend. Champion Kristofer Wagner finished at 4,525 with a 300 game along the way.

He was inside the top five from the first game and 2nd from game ten to the finish. Kristofer Wagner led after every block: by 59 after the Short, by 131 after Medium 1, where Wagner's 300 came in the last game, and by 218 after Medium 2.

Arryn's 1,200 Long block was the top block of the event and 34 pins better than Wagner's, which cut the final gap to 184. Behind him, the margin to 3rd grew from 18 pins over Nehemiah Keefer after Medium 1 to 198 over Keefer at the finish.

The frame-by-frame numbers for the twenty games show where the pins came from. He struck on 132 of 224 frames, 59 percent, and averaged 9.30 pins on his first ball. Five of the twenty games were clean, and the whole event carried 29 open frames.

He converted 60 of 75 makeable spares, 80.0 percent, including 43 of 51 single pins, and 0 of 14 splits. His best three games in a row were 228, 279 and 277 to open the Long block, a 784.

Two weekends, two of the biggest stages in youth bowling. A world title on one, a national runner-up with All-American honors on the next. The range showed across the four patterns, with Arryn strongest as the oil got longer and heavier and the Long block giving him his best work of the event.

The most valuable takeaway came from the block that got away. Medium 2 was not a ball-reaction problem so much as a spare shooting one, makeable spares left on the table that a sport pattern turns into lost pins in a hurry. Arryn named it himself afterward, and pointed it directly at Junior Gold as the work ahead, spare conversion and a little mental sharpening. A bowler who can win on the sport's biggest stage and still tell you honestly where he needs to get better is a bowler who keeps climbing.
