Tournament Overview
SYC Kentucky ran three days at Kingpin Lanes in Jeffersontown across three sport patterns. It was not the weekend the scores were hoping for, but it became one of the most telling of the season. Arryn opened strong, lost ground on the medium pattern, and answered on the final day in a way that mattered more than any line on the standings sheet.
He finished 7th of 28 in the U15 Boys division at +28, a 201.9 average, ending the tournament in the positive and inside the top 25 percent of a quality field on a legitimate sport condition.

How the Standings Moved
A 238 in game two had him 3rd, and he finished the Short block 4th with 1,074.
His 899 Medium block left him 6th after ten games.
On Sunday he posted 1,055, 156 more than his Medium block, with a 225 and a 244 in games thirteen and fourteen. He finished 7th of 28.

Why This Result Matters
A year ago, the mental game was not underdeveloped, it was not there. A block like the Saturday medium would have required a long talk and a rebuild before the next round. This weekend it did not. Arryn walked in Sunday morning, reset on his own, and bowled a 1,055 block, 156 pins better than his medium. That swing is the growth that no standings sheet captures.
The part worth holding onto is the honesty that came after. No excuses. He named what broke down, spare shooting and shot consistency, and he owned it. That kind of accountability cannot be coached directly, it has to come from within, and at fourteen he has it. There is real work ahead and he knows it better than anyone, but the patience he showed when things were not going his way is exactly what turns a hard weekend into fuel.
